Editorial Graphic Designer

This is an in-person position.
Overview:
We are seeking a talented and creative Editorial Graphic Designer. This role is crucial in crafting our weekly magazine. Additionally, the designer will be responsible for creating flyers for events and other design deliverables as needed. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a strong understanding of typography, layout, branding, and proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Responsibilities:

• Design and layout of the The Shul Weekly Magazine, ensuring high-quality visual presentation and consistency with The Shul's brand guidelines.

• Manage the production process from concept to final deliverable, including image sourcing, typesetting, and preparing files for print and digital distribution.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a graphic designer, preferably with editorial or publication design experience.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other relevant design tools.

• Strong portfolio showcasing creative and effective design solutions.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and typography.

• Knowledge of Jewish traditions and familiarity with The Shul-related content is a plus.
